One night, a woman woke in a panic. She'd forgotten to make the car payment. Again. She considered trying to call it in, but it was 2:00am.
It had been on her To Do list for a week, but "crunch time" at work meant no time during the day. By evening, it was all she could do to eat and go to bed. It had been like this for months.
She stayed in bed but resolved to get up five minutes earlier to make the payment in the morning — hoping she would remember.
At FreyerMartin, we know what it's like to juggle too much at once. This story actually happened to our founder, Carla Morelli — more than once. After searching unsuccessfully for a service to take over her bills, Carla formed FreyerMartin in 2003.
Today, FreyerMartin thrives on providing exactly the kind of comprehensive support that lets you sleep all night. Our representatives are carefully screened, thoroughly trained and totally focused on their clients.
Our mission is to lead the personal bill-paying industry in providing an unparalleled experience for our clients and our staff, and our philosophy is simple:
Our best interest is serving your best interest.
About Us
Carla Morelli, FreyerMartin's founder and President, has been at the
forefront of industries for years. A financial analyst in the early
days of a commercial Internet provider, she found herself wanting something different.
Her employer offered her a job as a business analyst, then a relatively new
discipline. She was told "We're debating whether this position is
worth it. Try it if you want. If it works, we'll hire more. If it
doesn't, you'll have to find something else." When she left the company
fourteen months later, there were three more anaylsts on staff.
Carla went on to be an independent consultant specializing in Oracle Financials implementations, and was often one of the only technical women in the room. When she retired from consulting, she launched FreyerMartin, one of a handful of "full-service" bill paying firms in the country. She has gone on to produce a series of firsts in the industry, and has actively taken a leadership role in defining best practices, contributing to the industry's first certification program, developing a client management system to accommodate the industry's unique requirements, and mentoring others who are either researching a daily money management practice, or trying to make one successful.
She has become an expert in the intricacies of daily finance and is often asked to speak on the topic. Carla holds a BA in Economics with a strong background in Finance from George Mason University. She is a former President of the National Association of Women Business Owners, Greater DC chapter and serves on the national board of the American Association of Daily Money Managers. She has been a columnist for the Washington Business Journal, is called on to comment for national articles, and has appeared on television discussing daily money management topics.
The rest of the FreyerMartin team is composed of seasoned professionals who have impressive corporate and entrepreneurial backgrounds, and the same passion for the industry as Carla does.
FreyerMartin has been a certified woman-owned business and was associated with these professional organizations:
